PELIKAN DAEDALUS AND ICARUS LIMITED EDITION FOUNTAIN PEN
PELIKAN DAEDALUS AND ICARUS LIMITED EDITION FOUNTAIN PEN
Daedalus and Icarus (2001)The success of Pelikan\'s Genesis of the Olympiad pen led them to turn again in 2001 to Greece for inspiration - this time to its mythology with the story of Daedalus and Icarus.
Humankind\'s age-old dream of being able to fly is the central theme of the Daedalus and Icarus Myth.
The fountain pen was made in a transparent delicate light blue colour, symbolising the skies into which the father and son escaped from Crete. The figure of Icarus is made of silver, and 800 pieces were made to honor the 8th Century B.C. when Homer first referred to this saga.
Based on the M800 fountain pen, dedicated to the myth of Daedalus and Icarus. The blue resin body symbolizes the Aegean sea. The barrel is decorated with a Icarus figure in solid silver.
Limited to 800 pieces (with reference to the 8th century BC and the first mention of Daedalus by Homehe name of Daedalus.
