APICA is an iconic Japanese notebook brand. APICA notebooks are well known for their superior Japanese paper, which is designed for convenient writing with any fountain pen & ink.

The smooth and pen friendly neutral paper used in the C.D. series has been developed exclusively for APICA in collaboration with Oji Paper, known for their long time initiative for sustainable forest management and responsible paper production since decades.

Back to early 80’s, today’s standard ‘neutral paper’ was then still unknown so all papers were acid paper. But those acid papers absorbed moisture from the air, oxidized and changed their color and were easy to get damages.

That was where started a thorough research and in 1984 APICA, jointly with Oji Paper, they have commercialized for the first time in Japan the neutral paper notebooks for a better experience of the customer.

APICA notebooks are synonym with the superb Japanese tradition in fine writing !
