In 1866, Cavaliere Vittorio Martini founded the Antica Fabbrica Vittorio Martini in Bologna, a "workshop specializing in the production of high-precision instruments for technical drawing, calculation and engineering".

In 1889, the IX Congress of Italian Engineers and Architects conferred a high recognition on production quality, followed, a decade later, by the Gold Medal.

“It is said that when Vittorio Martini occupied the premises in Via Della Cartoleria, in the centre of Bologna, when the technical instruments were being graduated, the carriages and horses were stopped to prevent the vibrations they produced from affecting the delicate and precise operation of the engraving.”

Over time, Vittorio Martini's production has managed to combine innovation and rigour in full respect of the environment, evolving towards eco-sustainable materials such as resins, recyclable plastic materials and low environmental impact decoration solutions.

Today, after more than 150 years of activity, the Company is still characterized by a deep passion for the creation of personalized and high-precision products.

Each object contains what is tangible: the quality of the materials, the impeccable finishes, and the perfection of the proportions also expressing the artisan talent of skilled workers with the elegance of their gestures repeated in the long tradition.

Vittorio Martini 1866's over one-hundred-year-old and glorious history in the production of technical and reliable instruments has accompanied architects, engineers and designers in making "a sign". In the imagination, the pencil represents the starting tool of every path.
