The pen features Opus 88\'s signature Japanese-style eyedropper filling system, offering an impressive ink capacity of approximately 3.5 ml. A glass eyedropper is included for convenient filling directly from an ink bottle.

An integrated shut-off valve controls the flow of ink from the main reservoir to the nib. During extended writing sessions, the end knob can be loosened slightly to allow continuous ink flow. When fully closed, the valve isolates the main ink chamber, offering additional security while carrying or transporting the pen.
